WHY LOOK AT THINGS UPSIDE DOWN?

Why look at things upside down?  Martin van Blerk gallery

Dialogist-kantor, Djos Janssens, Annick Nölle, Gauthier Pierson, Marc Rossignol, Olivier Stevenart and Yoann van Parys.

This exhibition project proposes a scene that combines different attitudes, concepts and techniques. This exhibition places artists of the underground scene in the context of a commercial contemporary art gallery, whilst continuing to play with various codes and concepts.

Without frontiers these artists and their works question that which is poetic, commercial and political… and it is in this spirit the title of the exhibition becomes obvious. In as much as this title allows a space of freedom for the artists and their works that appear in the gallery.

A collective spirit motivates the group, whilst still in confrontation with their different individualities.

Dialogist-kantor, Annick Nölle, Gauthier Pierson, Marc Rossignol, Olivier Stevenart and Yoann van Parys have been chosen for their generosity and investment in their artwork in all contexts.

The title of the exhibition becomes even more evident in simply listing the different media that will make up the exhibition (drawing, painting, photography, video, performance)
